Replacement of the Main Low Voltage Switchboard and Panel boards located in riser cupboards within the corridors of an NHS hospital

Hinchingbrooke Hospital is a 304-bed district general hospital located at Hinchingbrooke Park in Hinchingbrooke near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. Opened in 1983, it serves the Huntingdonshire area, and has a range of specialities as well as an Accident and Emergency. The hospital is managed by the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.

Prism Power was approached by SSE Contracting on behalf of Hinchingbrooke hospital to replace the Main Low Voltage Switchboard and Panel boards located in riser cupboards within the corridors.

The main LV Panel had to be manufactured to fit within the existing footprint and to line up with existing outgoing cabling.  All replacement changeover works had to be done to suit the hospital operation.

The 14No Panelboards had to be manufactured to fit within the existing footprints and to line up with existing outgoing cabling.  All replacement changeover works had to be done to suit the hospital operation.

Extensive site surveys and measurements of existing Main LV Switchgear, panelboards and cabling to enable manufacture of new equipment to fit within the existing footprint. All installation work was mainly undertaken at weekends to suit the hospital operation.
